Cobiana Records is an independent record label and production company committed to releasing the best of music from Guinea-Bissau, West Africa. Cobiana Records defends and promotes the interests of such iconic Bissau-Guinean artists as Super Mama Djombo, Zé Manel, Cobiana Djazz, and José Carlos Schwarz. Cobiana Records respects the special place that music has in the expression of dignity and identity of Bissau-Guineans. We hope to transmit that expression across the world, and into the future, so that the values that music has defended will continue to grow.
